Marshall, Lozano Lead Cruz Azul Past Crew

Columbus Crew defender Chad Marshall had two own goals and Cruz Azul midfielder Jaime Lozano added two more as the Mexicans thumped visiting Columbus 5-0 in CONCACAF Champions League action tonight.
The MLS Champions looked lethargic from the start, as former FC Dallas midfielder Ramon Nuńez had an assist and a goal in the first nine minutes.
The match went from bad to worse for the Crew in minute 38, when defender Eric Brunner received a second yellow card just two minutes after his first for a studs-up challenge on Rogelio Chávez.
In the Crew's only problem of the night which wasn't self-inflicted, referee Oscar Moncada mysteriously called for a penalty kick in the 82nd minute when Emmanuel Villa fell to the ground.
Columbus are now in third place in Group C on three points, while Cruz Azul sit alone at the top with six.
Earlier in the evening, DC United repeated their late-game defensive miscues from the previous week to fall to Toluca, 3-1.
Hector Mancilla knocked in a brace in the last eleven minutes to lift the visitors past United, who had appeared to bounce back from a difficult first half thanks to an opportunistic goal from Chris Pontius in minute 47.
Vladimir Marín opened the scoring for Toluca in the 5th minute.
United are winless in two and sit at the bottom of Group B, while Toluca are in second on six points.
In Group A, the Houston Dynamo grabbed a valuable road point as they drew 1-1 with Panama's Arabe Unido. Marathón of Honduras defeated Trinidad & Tobago's San Juan Jabloteh 3-1 in the other match from Group B.
